Peter F. Drucker, the father of modern management, wrote: The purpose of a business is to create a customer. Therefore, the business enterprise has two—and only two—basic functions: marketing and innovation. These two produce results; all the rest are costs. We deeply share this perspective. Back-office operations are often the epitome of “cost.” Order management, invoicing, and accounting are essential to support the business, yet they create no direct value for customers. At the same time, more than half of the global workforce is engaged in such roles, and an enormous amount of time and talent is spent on repetitive tasks like data entries. That’s why we’re building Sanka: to automate the back office so companies can focus on delivering better products and services rather than managing admin tasks.
